We opened up Will and Rhonda’s dated & dark kitchen.
the problem: A stuffy, Closed off kitchen Kitchen
The design goal for the Anderson’s kitchen was to create a more open and inviting feel while making the space function better for them.
STEP ONE: BRIGHTEN UP THE SPACE
They had always dreamed about a sink under the window and that is exactly what we did! The first step was to order a new window that was shorter to allow for a sink to fit underneath.
STEP TWO: ADD FUNCTIONAL CABINETRY
They chose to use custom Lectus Cabinets and opted for some uber-functional cabinetry inserts to make the kitchen even more user-friendly: a double garbage pull-out, sink tip-outs, roll-out shelves in the pantry, and a Super Susan in the corner cabinet.
The final result: a functional, open-concept space
