Showroom Main Bath
This main floor bath had suffered water damage and heavy use. we stripped it down and gave it a facelift.
With a new family member on the way, this bathroom needed to be relaxing and easy to maintain long term. Not only was it worn down, but it was dark and windowless.
The bathroom had suffered water damage and so we decided to replace all the drywall. While we were at it, we closed in the linen cabinet which was accessed from the hall in order to have the storage accessible from inside the washroom. A new tub and shower surround went in and we started prepping the floor for tile.
This bathroom is central in the house which meant no window/natural light, so I wanted to incorporate two sources of light. The primary light source is LED lighting behind the mirror and under the floating vanity which creates a relaxing environment. A couple of recessed pot lights act as a secondary source which provides brighter light when needed.
A floating vanity suited this space and Merit Kitchens had a perfect door style and stain color to match the solid wood interior doors we used throughout the rest of the house. Solid surface counter tops provide an antibacterial and easy to clean finish and the tile floor was prepped with a waterproof mat that makes this washroom a bombproof bombshell!
