This answer can vary greatly from project to project and from client to client. The design process itself can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks up to a couple of months depending on the scope of the project. When ordering fixtures, finishes and custom materials the timeline for delivery can be anywhere from 2-8 weeks. With larger renovations and projects the process may start before your product arrives so that the space will be ready for the product once it arrives. The designer will develop a schedule that will be followed as closely as possible. You will get a copy of the schedule and the designer will be in touch with you to ensure you know what to expect each day and if there is anything you need to do along the way.

Once you have worked in the trades for a while you start to learn who is good, who is bad and who is AWESOME! Locale Designs has preferred contractors who are exceptional in their field. Quality of work is important but just as important is communication and trust. We have built relationships together over time and know what to expect from one another which makes for a great team environment and quality final product for the client.

Both Tegan and Kendra are Interior Designers. The major difference between a decorator and designer is that a designer requires formal training where a decorator does not. Tegan completed her diploma at Lakeland College ane Kendra completed her Degree through Yorkville University. Designers focus on Architectural drawings, the construction process, code-compliance, space planning, health and safety, etc where a decorator focuses solely on furnishings, color, textiles and accessories. Design is not just what it looks like and feels like, design is how it works.
